Embryo transfer is the final stage of IVF. Usually between two and three days after the puncture, sometimes even five days, some of the embryos collected are transferred into the uterine cavity by natural means during a gynaecological examination that does not require anaesthesia. One or two embryos are transferred at this stage, the rest are frozen.
