AMH – Anti-Mullen Hormone – is a hormone that is present during the formation of the reproductive organs of the unborn child. In both women and men, AMH provides an insight into fertility. In women, it reflects the ovarian reserve, as the AMH decreases with age in parallel with the number of follicles. In men, it indicates the quality of spermatogenesis. The blood test is very useful for determining the fertility potential (ovarian reserve).
